Can a ZENTROVOLT inverter run an air conditioner?

Yes. Our 3000W and larger models handle the high starting surge of RV and small room air conditioners. For a 9000 BTU AC we recommend a minimum 3000W low frequency inverter, which delivers up to 300% surge for 20 seconds.

All ZENTROVOLT inverter/chargers are lithium-compatible. Adjustable charge profiles support LiFePO4, AGM, gel and flooded batteries. The BMS communication port is optional on OEM orders.

Pure sine wave output matches utility grid power (THD < 3%), running sensitive electronics, motors and medical equipment safely and quietly. Modified sine wave is cheaper but causes buzzing, heat and can damage compressors and audio gear.

For a 12V 3000W inverter use 4/0 AWG (95mm²) cables under 1.5m. For 24V systems use 2/0 AWG (70mm²). Always install a DC fuse or breaker within 15cm of the battery.

Our hybrid inverter/charger models include a built-in MPPT solar charge controller (up to 145V/5000W PV input). Standalone inverters require a separate charge controller between panels and battery.
